At several request of several people, Promenade has now started our very own Parade Team. This group is designed for those who simply want to ride in parades and not preform drills. Actually, you can come to practice to reap the training benefits and don’t have to participate in the parades (they can be quite stressful and we understand this). This class is meant to be a social gathering as much as a training event.

We will work on riding in a group, practicing foundational maneuvers (sidepassing, disengaging, etc.), learning and practicing drill and parade maneuvers, desensitize to a large variety of “scary” objects, starting on the ground and working up to riding. When we are not busy preparing for a parade we will work on some simple drills. We hope to see new faces in our group and welcome you to come ride with us!

Our diligent practice has led to receiving many awards at parades. The parade attendees love when we do maneuvers while moving along the parade route. As an instructor I love seeing the confidence it creates in human and horse!

2017 Practice begins May 5th and will be held most Fridays through September, 6:00pm to 7:30pm ♦
